Path Tracker Laboratory Desktop App
Pathology Tracker Laboratory Desktop Application
Laboratory users can access the Path Tracker desktop application to receive and manage incoming pathology orders.
Getting started
Start by opening the desktop application and logging in. Click on the
Tracker menu option. Then click on the
Receive Orders menu option.
Click on the
Scan button to start RFID scanning an incoming package.
As the application is scanning, you should see red, yellow, and/or green icons pop up in the background. Use the
Stop Scan button to finish the scan.
Scan Results
Scan results will appear in the upper right-hand corner. If exceptions or incomplete orders are found, orders will appear in those areas of the screen.
Specimen/Order State
Clicking on an Exception or Incomplete item will allow the user to see more details. Orders in a Valid state are listed on the right-hand side of the screen with a green icon. Click on the green icon to see a pop up with more information about the items.
If you have a mixture of red/invalid and green/valid items, review the red items, and correct the issues if possible. Rescan until only green/valid items appear on the screen. Once you have all green/valid items, click the Accept button to continue. Lab users can accept an incomplete package without having all green items. Just click the Accept button and follow the prompts to continue with missing specimens. Once you have finished scanning and accepted a package, the system will update the status of the specimen in the Path Tracker web portal (or Log Book).
