✨ ERA Search Performance Improvements

1. Faster & More Reliable ERA Searches

Some billing teams reported errors or timeouts when searching ERAs over a multi-day range (for example, 08/06/2025–08/07/2025). We rebuilt the ERA search process to improve stability and speed.

Highlights:

  • Significantly improved search performance across all date ranges
  • Prevents the previous “processing error” and timeout conditions
  • Smooth, uninterrupted workflow for billing clerks - especially during high-volume periods

These updates ensure ERA lookups work consistently, even for broader searches.


2. Enhanced ERA Results Loading

To reduce loading delays and improve responsiveness, ERA results now load in structured, on-demand segments.

What’s improved:

  • ERA lists now load quickly using efficient database paging
  • Ticket details load only when an ERA is expanded
  • Procedure details load only when a ticket is expanded

This tiered loading strategy keeps the page fast without changing the functionality users rely on.


3. Better Paging & Result Counts

The main ERA results grid now uses modern paging techniques for faster response times and consistent totals.

Benefits:

  • More accurate total counts for ERAs
  • Faster navigation between pages (20 / 50 / 100 results)
  • Cleaner and more stable results retrieval

These improvements help billing staff work efficiently without delays when scrolling through multiple screens of ERAs.

  • Replaced an outdated stored procedure with a new, optimized architecture
  • Reduced unnecessary data retrieval to prevent timeouts
  • Improved backend query structure for long-term scalability
  • Maintained full functionality—no behavioral changes to ERA workflows
